Yo yo! Thought I would change things up a bit tonight and go back to the movies for a Planet Coaster build! Tonights subject, which I can’t believe anyone has not already built yet, the Nakatomi Plaza building from Die Hard! Custom assets I had to build for this project include a downed helicopter that carried the FBI guys, the destroyed police ATV, Argyle’s limousine and of course the Nakatomi building. The entire build took about 8 hours or so.
I stuck some bumper cars as well as some food and drink stalls inside of the building to draw the peeps in for the fun of it. I gotta say, it all came out pretty good. This was the first time I got to set up a scene using the special effects which was fun. I did a little of that in the Las Vegas build, but nothing on this scale. The parking garage you see in it was recycled from the Vegas build.
