Yo yo yo! Merry x-mas eve everyone! I thought I would finally upload my new Planet Coaster mega-park of the Las Vegas strip to the Steam Workshop! I’m trying to recreate the entire Las Vegas strip… or the main parts that matter anyway in Planet Coaster, and it is turning out to be a massive monster of a project! It is still a work in progress. I’ve got nearly 250 hours into it so far, and have barely scratched the surface of what needs to be done. Trouble is, my computer is already starting to slow down a bit because of the enormous amount of pieces involved so I wanted to make a few videos while I still have a somewhat decent framerate going while recording. So far I have completed a few of the resort casinos on the strip… The Luxor, Excalibur, The Tropicana and The Cosmopolitan.
In progress are the New York-New York Hotel & Casino, The Bellagio, The MGM Grand, Paris Vegas, Bally’s, Planet Hollywood, Mandalay Bay, and The Palms. Still left to do is a huge list consisting of The Mirage, Circus Circus, The Stratosphere, The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, The Wynn, The Rio, Caesars Palace, The Venetian, The Trump Hotel & Casino, Hooters Hotel & Casino and a few others, still yet to be decided.
I had to alter the shape of the strip a bit in order to be able to fit all of the major casinos on the map. Also, Mandalay Bay isn’t exactly where it is supposed to be, but again because of space it’s been moved a bit. Other than that though, it’s pretty true to life. Depending on how slow everything is once I get the strip built, we’ll see about making Freemont Street.
